Concerts by Candlelight Returns to Gibraltar with 1,000 Candle Orchestra Experience

Gibraltar is set to glow once again as Gibraltar Cultural Services (GCS), on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, brings back its hugely popular Concerts by Candlelight series for a special public performance this June.

Following the success of previous editions staged for visiting cruise passengers in partnership with MH Bland, the enchanting musical experience continues to evolve, introducing new creative elements and raising the standard with every performance since its launch in 2024.

Now, local audiences will have the opportunity to experience the magic for themselves on Wednesday 3rd June, with an unforgettable evening of timeless music performed under the warm glow of more than 1,000 candles.

The concert will feature an impressive 18-piece orchestra led by renowned musical director Miguel Monge, alongside performances from talented soloists from the Gibraltar Youth Choir, the Gibraltar Sea Scouts Band, and guest soloist Nathan Payas.

Audiences can expect an atmospheric and emotionally uplifting evening, combining beautiful orchestral arrangements with the unique ambience that has made the Concerts by Candlelight series such a standout cultural event on the Rock.

Adding to the significance of the evening, all profits from the concert will go towards supporting Gibraltar Community Association and PossAbilities Gibraltar.
