Gibraltar Under Siege 2026: Conquer the Rock Endurance Race

Returning on 28 February – 1 March 2026, Gibraltar Under Siege is a unique endurance race that combines sport, history and breathtaking scenery into one unforgettable challenge.

This demanding 3-stage, 2-day event covers around 30km with over 2,000 metres of ascent, taking runners across rugged terrain, steep climbs and some of Gibraltar’s most iconic historic sites. From dramatic coastal paths to legendary military landmarks, participants quite literally run through the Rock’s rich past.

Inspired by Gibraltar’s history of resilience, particularly the famous Great Siege of 1779–1783, the event invites competitors to test their own endurance against the natural and historic defences that once protected the territory.

Supported locally and designed to showcase Gibraltar’s stunning landscape, Gibraltar Under Siege is more than just a race. It’s an opportunity to experience the Rock from a completely different perspective, pushing physical limits while surrounded by panoramic views and centuries of history.
